‘Kalam’ meaning pen and ‘kari’ meaning art, Kalamkari literally translates to ‘pen craft’ created using natural pens such as bamboo. This art form is practised in the Sri Kalahasti district of Andhra Pradesh. Being Hand Painted, there may be some imperfections which is not a defect but an effect of Authentic Handmade Product.
These also uses natural dyes which is applied using milk as a natural fixing agent. There might be a mild odor which will fade off when kept in open.
